1. What this is

Debt Snowball Dolphin ("we", "us", "Dolphin") is a web app that helps you model debt payoff plans using the debt snowball method and related payoff scenarios. It's a calculator with a point of view, not a professional service.

2. Not legal or financial advice

Nothing in this app, anything it outputs, or anything we say anywhere is financial, legal, tax, accounting, credit, or debt-settlement advice. Talk to a licensed professional before making decisions that matter. Dolphin gives you a cleaner read on the numbers. It does not replace the professionals.

3. Your data

Your app data (balances, payment amounts, rates, and payoff scenarios) lives in your browser's localStorage on your device. We don't send it to our servers. We don't have servers for your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Open preview

The GitHub Pages version is open access while the app is being built. Paid features may be added later. For now, use the free stuff. It is the whole point.

5. Refunds

There is nothing to refund in the open preview.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant that it's error-free, accurate, fit for your specific financial situation, or will continue to exist tomorrow. Use your judgment. Double-check numbers that matter.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which is currently $0 for the open preview.

8. Acceptable use

Don't: (a) try to reverse-engineer the app, (b) use it to harm or harass anyone, (c) scrape or automate interactions with it, (d) pretend you built it. Do: use it for your own financial planning.

9. Intellectual property

The app — including the name "Debt Snowball Dolphin", the design, the copy, and the code — is ours. The data you enter is yours.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a meaningful change, we'll note it at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, at our option.
